In this 4-hour workshop, students will learn how to compose, style, and photograph food that tells a story. Students will learn through a combination of group discussion, instructor-led demos and individual shooting. The workshop will cover:
We will walk through the fundamental principles of composition and how to use those principles to create an engaging, dynamic photograph.
Telling a Story
Together, we discuss how to style a curated food story that pulls in the viewer and creates a connection to what we shoot. Each student will be provided with photography surfaces and abundant styling props including flatware, glassware, plates, linens, and kitchen options.
Group 1:1 Time
We will break into small groups providing each student the ability to meet with me and discuss their individual goals. We’ll talk through how to grow your business, build a relatable brand, improve your photography and any other questions you may have.
Wine and Cheese Tasting
Tenaya Darlington, a published cheese and cocktail author and teacher will guide students through a curated cheese tasting paired with some exceptional, unique wines.
